Questions

Is ChatForge free?

Yes. Chats, calls, group calls, screen sharing and the Windows and Android apps are free, with no ads.

Which devices does it work on?

Any modern web browser, the ChatForge app for Windows, and the ChatForge app for Android. On iPhone, open it in Safari and add it to your Home Screen.

How does remote control work?

During a one-to-one call, share your entire screen from the Windows app and press “Give control”. The other person can then use your mouse and keyboard. A red border shows while sharing, and you can stop at any time.

Where are my photos and files kept?

On the devices in the chat. The server keeps a file only until everyone in the chat has received it (30 days at most), then deletes its copy.

Can I find people without their email?

Yes. Everyone has a @username and a QR code (Settings). Groups can share an invite link.

Is ChatForge available in Urdu?

Yes. Choose اردو in Settings → Appearance → Language.
